I want to install a portable dvd player for car use, but I don’t really know how they work. I presume there is some way to mount the unit so you don’t have to hold it in your lap, but I can’t picture how that would work. Our old van had the dvd player installed over the seats, but I don’t want one that is permanent. I would like to find one that can temporarily mounted in the car and then taken out when we go into the hotel at night. We are getting ready to leave for a family road trip in a couple of weeks, so I’d like to find something soon.
