She is a Good Listener

My mom used to be a teacher for a living, but when layoffs hit, she ended up getting the ax. It wasn’t what she wanted, but she was able to get another job fairly quickly, which was good. She actually enjoys what she does. She works with the telecom platform that takes customer service calls for a popular company. She does a lot of problem solving and conflict resolution. She says that she feels really great when she can extend a grace period to someone who is really in legitimate need or just lend a listening ear to a troubled person. It’s not teaching, but she seems to enjoy it.
