Traveling with your saddle.

If you do a lot of traveling with your horse and saddle pay attention to the way you handle your saddle. Western Show Saddles need special attention because you want to ensure a “show” look for your saddle. Travel can be tough on saddles and you want to protect your investment. You should consider investing in a saddle carrier and a saddle pad carrier. This will help to minimize the wear and tear on your tack. It will help to absorb some of the bumps of the road and keep it protected from road crud. Always use a saddle cover. At minimum use a blanket, towels, or sheets as a cover. Never use plastic though. It holds in too much moisture.
