Waterproofing a Victorian Basement

My husband and I were recently on the market for a new home. We were looking at newer homes when suddenly we were taken by an older Victorian farmhouse. We knew it would need a lot of work, especially when we discovered that it had an old basement with a dirt floor. Neither of us knew anything about basements, much less how to waterproof a basement. But, the house was simply too charming to pass up, so we bought it. After doing a little online research, we discovered that waterproofing your basement is actually pretty easy, and now our Victorian home is stunning on all levels!
