Is a Labradoodle Good With Kids?

My family is considering a Labradoodle for our next dog. We have two very young children so I am concerned about the breed being gentle and tolerant of children. Our boys are used to being around a dog and a cat, but both of our pets are extremely good with children and put up with the hair pulling and food stealing that is bound to happen no matter how well you teach your children to “be nice”. I have heard that some breeds of poodles don’t make great family pets so I am wondering about the temperament of Labradoodles. Should I be looking for a certain breed of Poodle that was bred with the Lab?
