Home Needs to Fit the Family

Having a family member who uses a wheelchair can make house shopping a nightmare.  Beyond the ordinary concerns one has when purchasing a new home, the concerns are multiplied when attempting to determine whether or not the home can easily, and inexpensively, be converted to meet the needs of the family.  One particularly important area is the bathroom. Many bathrooms do not have adequate room for a wheelchair to rotate, and even those that do usually need some work.  One popular renovation is for people to install walk in bathtubs. It really makes life easier by reducing the amount of lifting and risk of falling that is required.
