“Comfort For An Old Faithful Pal”

Our family dog is getting up there in years, and we decided that “Santa Paws” needs to bring her an orthopedic dog beds for Christmas. I had no idea that there were so many styles, sizes, and filling types available. One would think that things really have gone to the dogs, since there seems to be more choices for their beds than a humans! We settled on a heavy duty flannel covered one, that is stuffed with a memory foam mattress. It is even on it’s own bed frame, raising it slightly off of the floor, but not too high for her to get on and off of with ease. There was a heated option, but since we live in the South, we decided that Santa Paws did not need to indulge her quite that much.

On Christmas morning, as the boys were opening their gifts, our grand old girl came shuffling out, stiff from sleeping all night on the blankets she had previously. She marched right up to her bed, and did not leave unless she absolutely had to for about a week. I don’t think she has stopped smiling yet!
