Before and after the bariatric surgery, doctors will instruct you to go to a Bariatric Surgery Diet. When I had a surgery I was instructed not to eat a couple of hours before the operation due to the anaesthesia that they will put inside me. Having a diet after the operation is also important because you want those unwanted pounds to stay off right. Plus the fact that if you overeat again there will be much pain and vomiting since your stomach will not be able maintain all those food inside. You must be disciplined and stick to your diet program.
