Fitness Model Program 1

“We might shake the foundations of their belief.”    Fitness Model Program turned back to the Druids, who had begun chanting and whirling in a circle.  Round and round they went until the dark form of a railed cart appeared in the haze.  It was the oddest thing Vectis had ever witnessed.  He was certain no cart had been there moments earlier, but then the mist seemed to thicken and take the form of a cart.    “How many of your unit survived the attack?” Vectis asked.“Thirty-seven.”    The green mist boiling around the magicians drifted across the entire zone, and toward the fort.  Now he could see the stooped figure of their high priest, so old that he had to clutch the cart railings to stand.      “These mists cannot last long,” Vectis said.  “How soon can you ready your unit?”    “They are ready now, awaiting your orders.”    It occurred to Vectis that for once Jupiter hadn’t issued orders beyond his authority.  In a different situation he might have commented on it, but now grave matters occupied his mind.  “This is a death mission,” he said.  “You must know that.”
