Alcoholic Neuropathy And Some Of It Causes.

A common definition of Alcoholic Neuropathy is defined as a nerve disorder that is directly associated with the excessive use of alcohol, or the chronic consumption of alcohol.  This type of peripheral neuropathy often results from an extended bout of alcohol abuse. An alcoholic is therefore very susceptible to several types of alcoholic neuropathies, which are sometimes known by different or interchangeable names, such as; primary axonal, polyneuropathy, or sensorimotor.

In other words, this type of peripheral neuropathy affects motor nerves, autonomic nerves, and the central nervous system itself, and is a disorder that involves decreased nerve function, which is caused by damage that comes from the chronic consumption of alcohol.
