A few months ago our family went camping for the weekend, and we didn’t put out enough water for our cat. When we came home, her water dish was dry and she was squatting in odd places, and meowing as if she was in pain. We called our veterinarian, and he told us to bring her right in to the office. He ran a few tests, and it was determined that she had a urinary tract infection. He prescribed a cat uti antibiotic, and she was much better within a few days. Now we have an automatic watering dispenser so that she won’t run out of water again.
