Change of plans

I have lived in Africa all of my life and it seemed that things were going to change in a big way when my Dad was offered a job in the United States of America and we were due to move over there. Just before we were due to leave my mum fell sick with Malaria and this delayed our plans. She received treatment for Malaria but it was too late and she unfortunately died and this has hit my Dad really hard and we will now remain here in Ethiopia. The disease could have been prevented if we lived in a better area or avoided if we had just moved to America a month or so earlier.
