I was shocked to find out yesterday, while casually surfing the web, that autocad download is now readily available on the net. I mean, that program has been in use for quite some time now, but making it publicly available like that is more than a little controversial in my opinion. What has been giving an edge to those willing to spend the money to buy the best tools, will now be handed to the masses. Will be see a rise in quality design in the near future ? Or will this make it more difficult for the companies to separate the really talented designers from those exploiting the virtues of the program?
