When I get stuck as to what to get the women in my life, I opt for jewelry.  When it comes to my wife, I know her style and usually pick out something special for her.  But when it comes to the other women in my life like my mom, grandmother, aunts, nieces and cousins, I think of religious jewelry because we were brought up in the church.  There are really nice pendants and bracelets that I’ve bought over the years that make great Christian Jewelry gifts because of the inscriptions on them.  I have even found bracelets that have my mom’s favorite inscriptions  on them.  I have never gone wrong with a religious jewelry gift.

There are some bizarre free items that one can find when trawling through the vast maze that is the internet. My one friend decided that if she breaks up with a boyfriend for a few days his “love” for her would grow stronger.  Unfortunately, her plan did not work as well as she thought it would.  People would constantly ask her why she is not with her boyfriend and she would reply, “That is my ex”.  Soon everyone started to believe her and several girls tried to gain the attention of her “ex”.  She finally had enough and decided to get an ex back.  As she approaches the house, she sees an unfamiliar car in the driveway.  When she rings the door bell, a half-dressed girl answers the door while her “ex” scurries to put on his clothes.  Sad and heartbroken, she walked away without saying a word, because speaking would only bring about tears.  At that point, she realized he never loved her to begin with.

My husband and I had wanted to visit Las Vegas since we got married but something always came up.  Finally the kids were in college and we were free to take our vacation.

Naturally we have a long list of things we had to to, and, when I went online and found a site which provided Celine Dion Tour Schedule and Tickets, I told my husband a Celine concert would be the highlight of the trip.

I was lucky enough to grow up in a home where we were taught to take good care of our bodies. My mother had her own garden, where she grew fresh vegetables for our meals. We also had fruit trees nearby that we were allowed to pick from. My mother also made some of the best organic teas for us to drink, like peppermint and chamomile. Having all of these healthy habits while growing up made it easier for me to choose to live this way as an adult. I know that most kids are not as lucky as I was, and they have to learn the hard way.

I would love to think that an old dog could still learn some new tricks.  I am about to celebrate my 50th birthday and my kids challenged me to think of something that I had always wanted to do and to do it.  As I have thought and thought about those things I dreamed about doing or learning when I was younger the thing that kept coming to mind was learning how to play the guitar.  When I mentioned it to my kids, I thought they were going to crack jokes but they didn’t.  So, for my birthday my sweet kids are going to get me a set of Learn and Master guitar DVD’s and lessons.  I am so excited!

I use a computer at work, my wife uses a computer at home. If I have a problem at work I call the IT guy to come fix it. When my wife has a computer problem at home she calls me. Typically I will stare at her screen for a few minutes, tell her I need to think about it, and ask the IT guy at work the next day what to do about it. The latest problem involved me having to download XoftSpySE from the internet and install it on her computer. It is not working as it use to and I am still her computer genius.

I hear people from my neighbourhood complaining about rising food and oil prices all the time. Not that I don’t agree, but I think taking a proactive role in trying to reduce expenses is better than sitting around complaining. When visiting Wales and looking for hotels Cardiff is the place to look. Not only are there a lot of choices of to choose from there are many activities to keep you busy during you leisure time. One of my favorite places to visit wherever I go are the local public gardens. Not only do you see local varieties in bloom but I get to bring back ideas for my own garden. Don’t miss the Dyffryn House and Gardens. It is over fifty acres and has flowers in bloom every season. In addition to the flowers there is a picturesque stone manor house, rolling lawns and a lake.

I love the look of really nice cufflinks.  They dress up a shirt so much and for anyone who does not like a lot of jewelry a nice pair of engraved cufflinks could be all of the “bling” that you will need.  When it comes to cufflinks I feel like they are sometimes over looked or forgotten.  Generally they are worn by men but women have the option of a stylish pair to dress up their shirts too.  Why not, if the look works then it is perfectly acceptable.  Cufflinks are a forgotten art and they need to be brought back as a style option.
