I have had a few of these. So what the heck is a background screening anyways? Basically an employer pays a third party company, such as http://www.macdataadvantage.com/, to run a report on you and they compare that report to information you provided. Have you ever had to give personal references and then someone calls those references in regards to a new job? Basically it is the same thing, except most of the time the data is pulled from a database. There usually aren’t any phone calls being made to actual people. All your basic information exists some where’s in a database. Employers just pay other people to pull that data for them in order to help them make a better decision regarding your employment.
