So you walk into a store looking to buy a gift card as a present for a friend. You walk up to the cash, pick-up a card and maybe even some gift card packaging in the form of an envelope or box. This has become popular with not only consumers looking for the perfect gift but also retailers. But some retailers are having some difficulty in trying to get those cards redeemed in a reasonable amount of time.
