My husband works for the local water authority. He tests the water in the watertanks to make sure that the water is free of any harmful contaminents. If the water does contain something it shouldn’t, my husband has to decide whether the contaminent can be removed from the water successfully, or if the water cannot be used at all. The health and safety of all the city’s residents depends on my husband doing his job properly. Drinking water that is contaminated can be very dangerous and unhealthy. If enough toxins are in the water, it could even cause death.
