My family owns 100 acres that borders Rt66. The very end of the property is where it connects with the highway. My grandfather farmed these 100 acres for many years. My father did a bit of vegetable farming, but opened up a horse boarding stable to bring in extra money. Now that I own the farm, I am thinking of taking the two acres at the end of the property and opening up a commercial truck parking lot. Truckers use Rt66 a lot, and there is no place for them to pull over near our town. I wouldn’t do this for money, just to help out the truckers.
