I have a new business and I am trying to get everything set up. I have just checked to make sure that nobody else has trademarked the name that I want to use, now I need to see about trademarking it myself so that it will be protected. Can anyone tell me how trademarks are enforced? Would I need to keep an eye out for myself or is there some agency that makes sure people don’t use trademarked names and symbols? I don’t recall ever hearing of anything like this, so I am assuming most likely I would have to keep an eye out myself.
