One of the most enjoyable aspects of childhood, for me at least, was dress up time. It did not matter what we wore and if it matched or not, no one gave any objections. We would pair plaid with polka dots or velvet with denim. In short, there were no rules and creativity was the watchword of the day! Even rhinestone sunglasses were allowed – the flashier the better. We had so much fun pretending to be lords and ladies, and making believe that we were dining in state with the Queen of England…childhood was a magical time that I will always remember with fondness.
