I can remember when I used to live in my old apartment, I shared a party wall with the tenants that lived next door to me. Unfortunately, the walls were fairly thin, so I could always tell what sort of mood that the couple was in when they were home in the evening. Sometimes I would hear a lot of shouting. We never had to contact our Party Wall Surveyor though, we just respected each other’s space and stayed out of each other’s way. They were very nice actually. We didn’t have a long goodbye when I moved out or anything like that.
