The western Iowa tourism foundation is holding a meeting in Council Bluffs next month to discuss allowing more attractions to be built just off of interstate 80. Some people feel that the area is already saturated with attractions and that new ones will just draw business away from the current attractions rather than generate any new business. Proponents claim that it would bring more competition to the area and cause the current attractions to improve thus increasing the amount of dollars for everyone. The discussion is expected to be lively at the meeting and it will be broadcast on the local cable station.
